From Essex to Ukraine

Throughout our website you’ll have seen a range of testimonials from a small amount of the charities and organisations we proudly support. (If you haven’t seen them, you should! Check the bottom of this page for a scrolling testimonial).

Some events are multi-beneficiary, with funds distributed via a number of charities - and some events, like the AF Gala Dinner Dance in October 2023, have a single focused beneficiary in mind.

For this event, held at Lion House in Boreham near Chelmsford, Essex, we chose the incredible Boxers4Barbers to be our sole beneficiary for the evening.

The newly-registered humanitarian aid charity, born to provide much needed resources in war-torn Ukraine’s hour of need, is a very worthy partner to support.

Founded locally to our event venue by Steve Parker as the 4 Ukraine Appeal, humble beginnings of appealing to veteran friends of Steve led to a domino effect of support, and a ground-swell of good samaritans from neighbouring communities in Wickford, Billericay and Basildon as a hub was set up for concerned onlookers to be able to donate and support the cause.

A first trip to Ukraine on 7th March 2022 led to several more and to this day Boxers Barbers 4 Ukraine continues to do sterling work in supporting affected communities in Ukraine.

You can find out more about the charity directly here: https://www.4ukraine.org.uk

Our event consisted of a champagne reception for guests, a 4-course dinner, live entertainment and a charity auction as Anderson Foundation supporters raised significant funds for such an important, topics and current concern.

I wanted to personally say thank you to each of you for the kindness, generosity and devotion you have showed to the people of Ukraine. Without your amazing donations we wouldn't have completed so many journeys or delivered half as much as we have’ - Steve Parker, Boxers Barbers 4 Ukraine.

On the 29th June 2024, we shall be repeating our Gala Dinner Dance and we are proud to announce Boxers Barbers 4 Ukraine will once again be a beneficiary.

Our thanks to all attendees, supporters, fundraisers, the Lion House and of course the charity for all of their continued efforts.
