AF Gala Dinner at The Lion Inn raises raises much needed funds for Boxers Barbers 4 Ukraine charity
On Saturday 29th of June within the beautiful settings of The Lion Inn in Chelmsford, Anderson Foundation supporters descended into Essex for our popular fixture, the AF Gala Dinner.
I'm sure like us an excuse to dress up, meet and chat with like minded individuals, enjoy a glorious gourmet dinner prepared by expert chefs and have an outstanding evening amongst friends, new and not so new, is reason enough - but we were there for Boxers Barbers 4 Ukraine.
The locally based registered charity (No: 1206768) may be local to our hosts for the evening, but their impact is felt internationally. Formed to provide humanitarian relief within Ukraine since 2022 via supplies and support, the mainly-veteran led charity goes from strength to strength, with their regular visits to the European country boosted by the support of Anderson Foundation supporters.
Over the evening and our much anticipated auction your support raised £82,000, less the associated costs, which will go a great length to enabling the work of our beneficiary Boxers Barbers 4 Ukraine, their cause and of course the people of Ukraine.
It is incredibly humbling to know that one of our events and your generosity can make such an overwhelming impact and we are delighted the goodwill that evening in June will be felt in the coming months due to you. Thank you.
